The objectives of the Recreational Services sectionis to develop youths physically, mentally, spiritually and socially, so that they become responsible citizens.Recreational activities are used to gather youths in different disciplines, identify talent, nurture it at a tender age for the purpose of development so that it becomes a lively hood.There is also promotion of skills training identified at tender ages.Major developmental programmes are as follows:-
Basketball, volleyball, rugby, soccer, weight lifting, tennis, netball, athletics, handball (etc.)
Debates, quiz, chess, drama, cultural activities, drum majorettes (etc)
Cookery, carving, gardening, art and craft, sewing, knitting, flower arrangement, hair dressing, home decorations, etiquette, carpentry, computers.
Outreach programmes such as helping destitute, old aged, street children, drug and alcohol abuse awareness, fundraising etc.
Reproductive health programmes which encompass sexual orientation and development, counseling, sexually transmitted diseases (STI) with special emphasis on HIV/AIDS infection and prevention, positive living, behaviour change in peer education.
