The Accounting Services Section produces Bulawayo City Council Final Accounts comprising of The Profit and Loss Accounts and Balance Sheets.

This Section computes a consolidated budget for Bulawayo City Council and monitor the budget to ensure that departments do not overspend.

Functions of accounting services are:

Budget and budgetary control

To coordinate and produce a balanced budget for the city and ensure that performance isin line with financial plans.
The budget should be ready for implementation by the beginning of the year
Conduct training on budget preparation and management
Budget reviews
Prepare tariff schedules for advertisement
