The City of Bulawayo would like to advise members of the public that Council will be installing road signs citywide in line with the Statutory Instrument 41 of 2016 (SI 2016 41) in which the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Development has, in terms of section 39 as read with section 81 of the Road Traffic Act [Chapter 13:11], made regulations to conform to the SADC Road Traffic Safety Manual Standards.
The monitoring public is therefore advised to exercise due caution when driving in these areas during the installation of these road signs commencing on the 18th September 2017, starting with the Central Business District.
The public is requested to acquaint themselves with the new signs and their implication to ensure safety of all road users.
