NOTICE – INTERRUPTION TO WATER SUPPLY FOR AREAS FED BY THE MAGWEGWE RESERVOIR.
The City of Bulawayo would like to advise members of the public that we will be conducting repairs on a leaking joint on the Rochester/ Nyamandlovu pipeline on Wednesday, 15 December 2021.
To facilitate the repairs, there will be a shutdown on the Nyamandlovu pipeline thereby affecting water supply to areas supplied by the Magwegwe Reservoir.
Water supplies are expected to be restored to the suburbs fed by Magwegwe Reservoir on Thursday, 16th December 2021 at 07:30hrs, a time when the repairs will be complete and pumping resumed.
Areas supplied by the Magwegwe Reservoir include:
Cowdray Park, Gwabalanda, Emakhandeni, Entumbane, Pelandaba West(Hawkflight), Magwegwe, Lobengula, Lobengula West, Mabutweni, Matshobane, Njube, Luveve, Mpopoma, Magwegwe North and Magwegwe West.
Residents are advised to conserve water accordingly and ensure that taps remain closed incase of earlier restoration of water supplies.
Bulawayo City Council wishes to apologise to its valued consumers for the inconvenience likely to be caused.
