WATER CONSERVATION AWARENESS
The City of Bulawayo would like to advise the public that water supply has generally stabilized across almost all the suburbs. From March 2021, water shedding has been gradually reduced, being limited to localized areas that will have been affected by either a serious pipe burst or power outage upstream of the supply reservoir.
The Dam levels as at Saturday, 15 May 2021 are 66.96%. However, an analysis of System Input Volume against City Consumption from March 2021 to date is indicating that the demand is very high at 156 ML/day against the water rationing limit of 135 ML/day. The rationing limit is in position as part of the broader water conservation measures in force with the purpose of delaying the City dams’ depletion rate. In that regard, consumers are being encouraged to adhere within their water rationing allocations which are as shown below;
