Temporary Water Supply Restoration Strategy

TEMPORARY WATER SUPPLY RESTORATION STRATEGY – MONDAY, 17TH AUGUST 2020

Further to a City of Bulawayo Advert of the 15th August 2020 that Council is temporarily suspending the 144-hour sheddingprogramme until the system normalizes.

The Water supply restoration programme for Monday, 17th August 2020 to Tuesday, 18th August 2020 will be as follows:

Water will be restored starting with high lying areas in the Criterion &Magwegwe reservoirs zones.

All Eastern residential areas will remain closed.

The City of Bulawayo would like to advise that the high lying areas will receive water supplies for a shorter period as a temporary relief as we continue try and stabilize the system.

Meanwhile, Industry, Mines, and the Central Business District remain exempted from shedding.

Bulawayo City Council wishes to apologise to its valued consumers for the inconvenience likely to be caused.
