VACANCY (REMUNERATION IS AS PER COUNCIL’S GRADING SCHEME)

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the following vacancy:-

CONTRACT AMBULANCE TECHNICIAN- GRADE 5 (18 POSTS)

Applicants should have the following qualifications:-

  • Ambulance Technician Certificate
  • Current registration with Allied Health Practitioners’ Council (A.H.P.C)
  • 5 Ordinary level subjects, including English Language
  • Valid heavy duty driver’s license with 5 years driving experience
  • Good topographical knowledge of Bulawayo
  • Good public relations, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Clean criminal record

Duties

  • Applying Emergency care response techniques at basic life support level
  • Incident and rescue response subject to medical protocol of Ambulance Technicians
  • Report writing
  • Daily routine check and care of ambulance and equipment
  • Daily routine checks of ambulance defects and performing any other duty assigned to him/her

The successful candidates will be required to work a 3 shift system for which an appropriate shift allowance is payable.

Council offers attractive working conditions, which include generous vacation and sick leave entitlements, housing and transport allowance, contributory pension and medical aid schemes and an annual bonus.
