The following positions has arisen within the City of Bulawayo

a. FINANCE MANAGER (COSTING) (GRADE 12 – 1 POST)


1 MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB SUMMARY
  1. Prepares Financial Statements and Report
  2. Prepares Revenue and Capital Budgets
  3. Costs Municipal Services
  4. Controls Expenditure during the year
  5. Co-ordinates external Audit programmes
2 QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS
  1. Accounting Degree or any one of the following professional bodies or equivalent.
  2. Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (CIS)
  3. Association of Chartered Certified Accountants(ACCA)
  4. Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA)
  5. Institute of Municipal Finance Officers (IMFO)
  6. An MBA or Local government experience is an added advantage
3 EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
  1. At least 5years experience in Accountancy and Financial procedures at middle management.
  2. Computer literacy will be an added advantage.
  3. Strong organisational and interpersonal skills.
  4. Strong supervisory and leadership skills.

b. FINANCE MANAGER (RISK&CASHFLOW) (GRADE 12: - 1 POST)


1 MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB SUMMARY
  1. Supervises investment procedures and authorises all short and long term investments.
  2. Reviews all reconciled bank accounts.
  3. Reviews the insurance portfolio and compiles reports as appropriate.
  4. Reviews reserved funds account
  5. Compiles year-end financial reports
  6. Manages Risk
2 QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS
  1. Accounting Degree or any one of the following professional bodies or equivalent.
  2. Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (CIS)
  3. Association of Chartered Certified Accountants(ACCA)
  4. Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA)
  5. Institute of Municipal Finance Officers (IMFO)
  6. An MBA or Local government experience is an added advantage
3 EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
  1. At least 5years experience in Accountancy and Financial procedures at middle management.
  2. Computer literacy will be an added advantage.
  3. Strong organisational and interpersonal skills.
  4. Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
