Safety and Health Officer

The following Vacancy has arisen within the City of Bulawayo:

1. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB SUMMARY
  • Coordinates Safety and Health management systems in Council operations.
  • Conducts Safety and Health risk/performance assessments.
  • Audits Council’s activities, programmes and projects.
  • Investigates Safety and Health related complaints.
  • Trains Council employees and stakeholders in Safety and Health.
  • Provides Safety and Health technical guidance and support to departments
2. Qualifications Requirements
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health, Safety and Management, Public Health or equivalent.
  • A clean Class 4 driver’s licence.
  • Must be computer literate.
3. EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
  • At least 2 years relevant work experience in Occupational Safety and Health.
