CHARGEHAND(SEWER)

The following Vacancy has arisen within the City of Bulawayo:

1. Main Responsibilities/ Job Summary	• Leads teams of Works Assistants and Labourers in sand trap cleaning, dragging and de-choking • Plans and directs teams in repairs and maintenance of sewer pipelines. • Inspects sites and controls quality of work done • Authorises issue of materials from stores. • Ensures safe working conditions by enforcing occupational health and safety regulations. • Plans leave schedule of staff to minimise service delivery disruptions. • Interprets the sewer reticulation designs.
2. Qualifications Requirements	• A skilled worker Class 1 Journeyman in the trade of Plumbing/Drain laying. • A clean Class 4 driver’s licence.
3. EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS	• At least 3 years work experience in a similar environment.
